LRTA Amazing Rails


Want to go on a high speed adventure? Why not try this one - the LRTA Amazing Rails contest. This contest involves a two-member bike race and the LRT. A cash prize of 30,000 pesos is at stake! The contest is part of the 30th year anniversary celebration of the LRTA in the Philippines.


The mechanics for joining this is as follows:

- This contest is available to individuals 18 and above.
- Teams will consist of 2 members who are physically fit to join the race. Team members must have their folding bikes and protective gear during the race, otherwise they are disqualified.
- other rules and guidelines can be downloaded at the LRTA website from June 1 to June 30, 2010. You may download the registration form here. Registration forms are also available at the following offices:

Line 1 Public Relations Division of Stations
Baclaran, Gil Puyat, Pedro Gil, Central Terminal,
Doroteo Jose, Blumentritt, Monumento and balintawak

Line 2 Public Relations Division of Stations
Recto and Araneta Center, Cubao

- Submit the registration forms, the 2000 pesos registration fee, and 1x1 ID for each member to the Public relations Offices.
-Briefing of the contest details will be done on July 3, 2010 9 a.m. at the Line 2 Cafeteria in Santolan, Pasig City

- Prizes include:
1st Prize - P 30,000
2nd Prize -P 20,000
3rd Prize - P15,000

- The Amazing Rails committee will declare and award the winners at the culminating activity to be held in Line 2 Depot Santolan, Pasig City on the day of the contest - July 10, 2010.

Deadline for registration forms in on June 30, 2010.

Upside of the contest:

- registration fee of 200
- you need a foldable bike and racing gear
- you have to personally submit your entry forms

Personal Note: I'm not sure if this is similar to AXN's amazing race. It is possible that the organizers will give odd tasks to the contestants.
