Join the Philippine Star, Swatch Launch Year of the Rabbit Fashion Contest, and win as much as 50,000 pesos cash prize* and a "My Rabbit Story" Swatch watch. 5 grand winners will be chosen for this contest. All you have to do is submit a wearable artwork, such as clothes, shoes, bags, etc. with a Swatch theme or design depicting Chinese New Year "Swatch My Rabbit Story Contest."

Contest Write-up from Philippine STAR:

The Swatch My Rabbit Story Contest runs from January 5 to February 20, 2011. The contest is open to all.

The theme for the competition is Chinese New Year "Swatch My Rabbit Story Contest."

Entry forms are available daily in the Philippine STAR during the duration of the promo. All entries must be submitted starting January 5, and must be accompanied with a completed entry form and Contest Guidelines Acceptance form (available at any Swatch Store, Swatch Kiosk or Hole in the Wall shop). Gift Gate Inc. must receive all entries by 8 p.m. on February 20, 2011.

Entries may be brought personally to any Swatch store, kiosk, or Hole in the Wall shop and will be received by the store OIC for proper documentation and storage.

All entries will automatically become the exclusive property of Gift Gate Inc., and may be used, copied, reproduced and / or reprinted by Gift Gate, Inc. into any size or medium for exhibition, advertising, promotion or whatever purpose. Contest participant further allows Gift Gate, Inc. to use his/her name and/or image / picture / likeness without limit in conjunction with his winning entry.

Gift Gate, Inc. reserves and maintains all intellectual property rights over its name and logo and all names, likeness and logos of its represented brands including but not limited to Swatch. Contest participants may only use the above in conjunction with their entry into this contest and for no other purpose.

Final judging will be on February 25, 2011 2 p.m. at Gift Gate Home office, 17 New York St., Cubao, Quezon City.

Participants are eligible to win any of the prizes. However, a participant can only in once, and the higher prize prevails.

Criteria for judging is:
Originality - 25%
Creativity - 50%
Composition - 25%

for a total of 100%.

There will be 5 grand winners; one in each fashion category:

a. 24 Karat Gold Gal (Red Carpet)
b. Date Night (Casual Chic)
c. Fashion Forward (Ove-the-Top)
d. Sweat It Out (Sporty)
e. Summer Fun (Summer Wear)

Each Grand winner will receive 50,000 pesos and the Swatch "My Rabbit Story". There will be 10 honorable mentions who will receive Swatch "My Rabbit Story" watches. All winners will be notified by registered mail.

Winners will also be announced in Philippine STAR on March 5, 2011.

* The withholding tax of 20% for all prizes exceeding 10,000 pesos shall be shouldered by the winner.

Notes:
- contrary to the "My Rabbit Story" title of this contest, this is fashion wearable art contest(clothes / shoes / bags / etc.) and not a story writing contest.
- get your entry forms by cutting out the forms printed at the Philippine STAR on their daily issues.
- when you submit your entry, make sure you submit your entry form and a copy of the contest guidelines acceptance form, which you can get from any Swatch outlet or Hole in the Wall outlet.

Ensembles has featured highly talented fashion designers for their collection before. Previously, James Reyes and Debbie Co featured their work for the Ensembles designer series. This year, it's Louis Claparols' turn to show-off his unique talent.

Louis Claparols is one of the most celebrated fashion designers today. He is also the elected president of Young Designers Guild (YDG)

What makes the Louis Claparols holiday collection appealing is that the designs have a 'geometric' feel to it. A combination of diamonds and swirls make up most of the collection, which for me, makes the wearer of the outfit have this neat and clean look (and at the same time doesn't look dull at all...)

Filipina beauties out there, here is your chance to become a real fashion model. Moda Plus is looking for their next top model - The Moda Plus Model Search! The winner of this contest will be the next official model for Moda Plus.


This contest is open to all females (there is no indication that she should be Filipino) that have a Facebook account, and is a fan of the official MP-FB page as well as a friend of the MP Model Search Page (personal page)

Contest Mechanics from the contest page:

1. The Moda Plus Onine Model Search is announced and launched via the Moda Plus Facebook site
2. Candidates must have a FB account and become a fan of the official MP-FB page as well as a friend of the MP Model Search Page (personal page)
3. Candidates must post on the wall of the MP Model Search FB with a maximum of three (3) profile shots of themselves alongside details (Full Name, Contact Number, Email, Occupation, Company, Age, Vital statistics).
4. Before posting, verification must be done to ensure validity of entry. Each applicant must submit only one entry or else disqualify herself from the Search.
5. The MP Model Search FB serves as the official INBOX of all entries.
6. The entries are then posted onto the wall of the official MP-FB fanpage.
7. The entries are posted to generate votes in the form of "Likes".
8. The top 8 entries with the most number of "Likes" are the finalists.
9. From 8 Finalist, Management will select top 3 as winners and new image models of Moda Plus.
